Guru Buddha Statues

Please find our collection of Guru Buddha statues listed below. Although there are several different Tantric masters, Guru Rinpoche is the father of Tibetan Buddhism. This collection of Guru Buddha statues is supplemented with Guri Milarepa, Guru Marpa and also Guru Gampopa.

Our Guru Rinpoche Buddha statues depict the Tantric master who is also known as Padmasambhava. Padmasambhava was born in the land of the lotus which is a pure land known as Oddiyana. Padmasambhava translates literally as “lotus born.” Padmasambhava statues represent the father of Tantric Buddhism. Tantric beliefs were introduced to Tibet when Guru Rinpoche traveled there in the 8th century A.C.E. He is believed to be the second Buddha in the Himalayan states of India, Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal.

Our Guru Buddha statues are hand made by our craftsman in Patan, Nepal. They are sculpted using the traditional lost wax method which results in a statue of intricate quality and detail.
