Guru Rinpoche Buddha Statues

Our Guru Rinpoche Buddha statues depict the Tantric master who is also known as Padmasambhava. Padmasambhava was born in the land of the lotus which is a pure land known as Oddiyana. Both Guru Rinpoche and Oddiyana have historical accounts but they pale in comparison to their mythical origins.

This Guru Rinpoche Buddha statue depicts the father of Tantric Buddhism. Tantric beliefs were introduced to Tibet when Guru Rinpoche traveled there in the 8th century A.C.E. Additionally, he helped to construct the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet at Samye. He is believed to be the second Buddha in the Himalayan states of India, Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal.

Our Guru Rinpoche Buddha statues are hand made by our craftsman in Patan, Nepal. They are sculpted using the traditional lost wax method which results in a statue of intricate quality and detail. Additionally, our Nepali craftsman have been creating Guru Rinpoche Buddha statues for the Tibetan monasteries for many centuries. As a result, you can rest assured that our statues are of monastic quality.
