Green Tara Statue Features
Our Green Tara statue is imbued with the rich luster of an antiquated finish. The venerable finish is given a silver plated detail. Additionally, the skilled artisan also included silver plating on Green Tara’s Bodhisattva crown and jewels. This results in a unique finish that was expertly crafted.
Additional attributes of the Green Tara statue include her partially extended right leg which is the trademark of Green Tara. She is always alert and ready to come to the aid of sentient life. This Green Tara statue is also depicting the protection mudra with her raised left hand and the gift giving mudra with her lowered right hand. She always has the well being of her devotees in the forefront of her thoughts.
Green Tara’s Symbolic Lotus Flowers
Green Tara also features a lotus flower growing over each of her shoulders. The lotus flower is very symbolic in Buddhist beliefs. This is because in the natural environment, the lotus flower grows from the muddy pond bottom and rises above the murky water to blossom in the clean air and sunshine. This is a metaphor for devotees rising above the sea of suffering and obtaining the fruits of Nirvana.
Additionally, the lotus growing over left shoulder remains unopened. This is to encourage devotees to strive for diligent practice so they can obtain the rewards that await them. Click here to learn more about Green Tara’s symbolism and mantra.
