Handmade Gold Gilded Amitayus Statue
Our world class Amitayus statue portrays one of the three Tibetan deities of long life. Certainly Amitayus is considered to be the most effective because he is the Sambhogakaya embodiment of Amitabha Buddha. Indeed, Amitayus is a Sanskrit word that translates into English as “long life”. Devotees are encouraged to recite the Amitayus mantra with complete faith in his practice. If so, they can be granted the blessings of good health and longevity. The Amitayus mantra is “Om A Ma Ra Ni Dzi Wan Ti Ye Soha”.
The ambrosia vessel is filled with the elixir of immortality and it sits in the palm of his right hand. Additionally, this Amitayus statue depicts him displaying the Dhyana “meditation” mudra. He is also sitting in full lotus pose on a single lotus pedestal. Furthermore, Amitayus is considered to be a Bodhisattva and therefore he is properly adorned in the crown and jewels of a Bodhisattva. Amitayus is surrounded by flowing ribbons and his long hair reaches down past his shoulders. The robe includes intricate engravings and the gold gilding glitters with the allure of his longevity attribute.
