Gold Gilded Kapala Set
The Kapala set is traditionally used in both Vajrayana (Tantric) Buddhism and also Tantric Hindu practice. The word kapala has it’s origins in Sanskrit and it was subsequently adopted in Tibet. The word kapala translates as human “skull” or forehead in English. Tantric deities were commonly depicted carrying the Kapala and Hindu Tantric deities were sometimes even seen drinking human blood from it. Our kapala set was crafted in Nepal by the same skilled artisans who have been supplying the Tibetan monasteries for centuries. These items are crafted from oxidized copper alloy and gilded in 24 karat gold. This kapala set is also engraved in intricate detail.
